Prosperity Smart Drive collects the personal information you provide to us and information we collect from third parties. This may include: contact details, identity documents, employment and financial information, credit history and, with your consent, sensitive information such as health details and biometric information). We will only collect the information reasonably necessary for the purposes described below and we will ask for your consent prior to collection of your biometric information.
We collect and use your personal information to assess and provide vehicle leasing, salary packaging and car finance services, to verify identity and creditworthiness, and to meet legal obligations (such as taxation and anti‑money laundering). Where we wish to use your information for any unrelated secondary purpose (for e.g., direct marketing), we will seek your consent unless otherwise permitted by law.
We may verify your identity as part of assessing your application and providing our services. This may involve using electronic verification systems to match the personal information you provide (such as details from your identity documents) with official records, including government databases such as the Australian Government’s Document Verification Service (DVS).
We will only carry out identity verification with your consent. By providing your information and proceeding with your application, you confirm that you are authorised to provide the information and consent to it being used and disclosed for identity verification purposes.
We use the outcome of these checks to confirm your identity and support the assessment of your application. The verification process only returns a confirmation result and does not give us access to your underlying government records.
If you do not provide consent and/or provide the information, we may not be able to verify your identity electronically, which may affect our ability to process your application and or provide services to you.
We may disclose personal information to third parties including: related entities, insurers, financiers, Credit Reporting Bodies, professional advisers, data hosts, cloud and IT service providers; third party providers who assist with operations, administration, marketing or customer support; and government or regulatory bodies. In some cases, we may disclose to overseas service providers (for example the Philippines) where practical, we will take reasonable steps (for example, data processing agreements, access controls and encryption) to protect personal information when it is handled overseas.

This may include matching your identification details with official records and exchanging credit-related information with CRBs and lenders. We retain personal information for as long as reasonably required to fulfil the purposes described above, to meet legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required we will securely destroy or de‑identify it.
